Christina Hornbeck died in August 2010. Known for her diminutive stature and ability to command an audience, Hornbeck was as big a presence on Wall Street as she was in her hometown, Hastings on Hudson. She began her career at E.M. Warburg Pincus as a secretary and worked her way up to analyst. Hornbeck's work as an analyst helped her land a job at Fiduciary Trust Company International. During her time at Fiduciary she served four years as President for the Media and Entertainment Analysts of New York. She left the company in 1997 as Senior Vice President, Securities Analyst - Consumer and Media. She began work as Vice President of Investor Relations for Viacom promptly afterwards. Outside of work, Hornbeck loved music and art, and had a penchant for dressing a bit ostentatious. She is survived by her two children, Ruth and Matthew Reader; her mother, Helen Hornbeck; and brother, Jeff Hornbeck. A memorial service was held on Saturday August 7th, at South Presbyterian Church in Dobbs Ferry. Donations can be made to the Christina Hornbeck Memorial fund for immunology at the Cancer Research Institute. We also know she survived two attacks at the World Trade Towers. It was a blessing to be with her on our 40th reunion.
May the good Lord be with you Down every road you roam
And may sunshine and happiness surround you when you're far away from home
Be courageous and be brave...
Paula Mahan Dabney (1951-1995)
The DHS Class of 1969 wishes to pass along the news of the passing of Paula. After repeated attempts at contacting her, we were informed of this sad news. Bright and fun and brassy, she will be missed.
And in my heart you'll always remain Forever Young
And may you never love in vain, and in my heart you'll always remain
Forever young, forever young, Forever young
And what ever road you choose
I'm right behind you, win or lose....
Forever Young!
